Betty J.B. Brouwer of Shalem Network wrote about the Images of God project's use of photovoice and creative arts to support dignity, mental health, and community belonging for Christians with intellectual disabilities.

The peer-reviewed findings from the Images of God project are now published in the Journal of Psychology and Theology. The article, 'Imaging God Together: Exploring God and Self-Representation Through Art and Intellectual Disability,' presents research into how Christians with intellectual disabilities understand God and themselves.

The Images of God project was featured on 100 Huntley Street — one of Canada's longest-running Christian television programs. Keith was joined by Ryan, one of the eleven project participants, and Janet Noel-Annable, President and CEO of Karis Disability Services.

The fields of theology and psychology aren't going to change overnight to better receive the contributions of people with IDD. In fact, the field of IDD itself has taken decades to move in this direction and still has much work to do. I hope this small project helps inspire churches, researchers, and communities to embrace the vital presence and contributions of people with disabilities.

The March/April 2025 edition of Faith Today magazine featured an overview of the Images of God project by Jaidyn Bremer. The interview took place prior to the Art & Vespers service.

The launch of Images of God: Through the Lens of Disability celebrates the art and theology of Christians with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Ontario. This exhibit features photos, photovoice images, collages, and reflections on God- and self-representation.

"This is where we might start to wonder if psychology has been working to distance itself from its religious, theological, or even philosophical origins. Maybe psychology and theology are more like child and parent in a dysfunctional family where neither chooses to identify the other as family?"
